Newcomers

The purpose of the Newcomer Ministry is to welcome visitors to all Advent functions and make them feel an immediate connection with our parish community. We answer questions about Advent and invite them to become a part of our church family. We provide name tags and written material regarding opportunities of our many ministries available, which may be of interest to them or their friends. We also provide a buddy for our new members, so that they have a quick contact to answer any questions about Advent.

Concerts

Between October and April, Advent hosts concerts featuring external musicians on the second Sunday of each month.   At the concert there is a free will offering which helps to support the groups putting on the concert. Leader: Claire Murphy

Fellowship & Food

Following the 8:00 am Sunday service Cathy prepares and provides a breakfast food, then following the 10:00 am Sunday service, Mary with a group of volunteers provides lunch in Paine Hall allowing everyone to grab a bite to eat and visit with fellow parishioners. Leaders: Mary Broussard & Cathy Shyers
